Vera Louise Stimson (Lou) passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on March 10, 1942, Lou lived a life marked by devotion to her family, quiet joys, and the simple pleasures that brought warmth to those around her.

Lou worked as a legal secretary, bringing dedication and care to her profession. Beyond her work, she found happiness in the things she loved most. She enjoyed reading, collecting pigs, and bird watching. She also loved adventure, cooking, and watching QVC. More than anything, however, her greatest enjoyment came from her grandchildren, who brought special meaning and joy to her life.

She is survived by her children, Tracy Stimson and Crystal Hargis, both of Luther, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Teagen (Mike) Howell, Nicole (Bryan) Boaz, and Phillip Hargis. 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Lou is further survived by her sister, Ann Davidson, and by her niece, Holly Pierport. Each of them carries forward cherished memories of her love, her interests, and the presence she brought to their family.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ileta Hillerby.

A graveside service will be held on September 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Luther Cemetery. Arrangements are through Boydston-Bailey Funeral Home.

Vera Louise Stimson (Lou) will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family who meant so much to her. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing.
