Roy William Danker entered his time on earth on August 21, 1947, and danced through
the gates of heaven to meet his savior face-to-face on October 24, 2026.
Whether it was playing cornhole, roofing, construction or woodworking, Roy’s artistic
talent, creativity and perfectionism was evident in everything his hands touched. Be it
discipline with firm words or tight hugs with soothing assurances, Roy’s wisdom and
compassion as a father was apparent in the way he raised his children. The peaceful
patience he was known for will carry on in the memories of everyone who knew him,
and the ornery glint in his eye that accompanied his playful grin will especially stand out
when those who loved Roy and knew him well remember their best times spent with
him. The benefactors of Roy’s generous affection will always treasure the welcoming
spirit he extended them and forever hold the warmth of how he made each one feel so
uniquely special.
The streets of gold shine brighter now that Roy’s light joins those who have gone before
him: father, Fred Danker; mother, Sylvia (Holmes) Danker; brothers, Dale Danker,
Homer Danker, Randall Danker and Tim Danker; sister, Jolynn (Danker) Shepherd; and
mother of Tiffany, Linda (Tacker) Danker.
The following souls wait for the day they are called home to be reunited with Roy and
other loved ones who have gone on to help Jesus prepare their places: son, Mark
(Susan) Danker; daughters, Pamela (Donald) McFarland, Tiffany (Eric) Fowble;
brothers, Edward (Ranae) Danker, Eldon (Susan) Danker, Freddie Danker, Doug
(Barbara) Danker; sisters, MaeZella (Danker) Bailey, Gladys (Charles) Sullivan, Clara
(Roy) Hayes, Leisa Danker, Freddie Ann (Danker) Fetty, and Tammy (Danker) Irons;
eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and cousins; and
mother of Mark and Pamela, Jeanette (Young) Johnson.
