It is with deep respect and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Brian Lee Martin, who left this world on August 20, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on August 7, 1973, Brian lived a life marked by commitment to family, service, and community.

Growing up in Luther, Oklahoma, Brian graduated as part of the Luther High School class of 1991, a proud achievement that laid the foundation for a lifetime defined by hard work and versatility. Following his education, Brian answered the call of duty and served honorably in the US Army, where his dedication and sense of responsibility were evident to all who served alongside him.

Brian's devotion to his hometown did not end with his military service. He became a cornerstone of community safety as the Chief of the Luther Volunteer Fire Department. In this leadership role, Brian’s courage and compassionate spirit inspired those who worked with him. His legacy within the department and the broader community stands as a testament to a life dedicated to helping others.

Outside of his professional commitments, Brian found joy in fishing—a peaceful pastime that evidenced his appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures of life. True to the saying, Brian was indeed a “Jack of all trades,” willing to lend both a helping hand and a ready smile whenever needed.

Brian’s greatest treasures were, without a doubt, his family. He is survived by his brother, William Martin, his sister, Teka Martin, his nephew, Dakota Martin, and his step-daughter, Ariel Hoffman. Each of them holds cherished memories of Brian’s unwavering support and affection. Though preceded in death by his father Gerald Martin, his mother Brenda Dodson, and his step-father Paul Dodson, Brian carried the lessons and love of his family throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 104 Cedar St, Luther, OK 73054. All who wish to honor Brian’s memory are welcome to join in remembering a man whose kindness, leadership, and generosity touched so many.

Brian Lee Martin’s spirit will remain a guiding light in the lives of those who loved and respected him. He leaves behind a legacy of selfless service and enduring love that will not be forgotten.
